I ended 14th out of 169 in the 550 event of the Dom Classics.
Coming Friday I will play the 770 event in Valkenburg.

Played the 440 bounty, got 2 bounties and that's it. Yesterday I played the main event which was dramatic. Nothing worked, connected or went well. So today it's third time lucky in the 550 deep stack. I see the previous days as practice, and today's target is to get to day 2. Back straight and let's do it!! :-) (end of power talk)

On 11 and 12 December I gave 2 poker clinics in the Holland Casino stand at the Masters of LXRY fair in the RAI in Amsterdam. I enjoyed it as it's always fun to work with the people of HC.
Coming Wednesday I will play the €440 bounty in HC Utrecht, and on Friday I will play the Dutch Open. Wish me luck. |  |

I ended 14th in the main event in HC Venlo. itm but not as much as I hoped.
Currently I'm still working on my game app, so there's not enough time to update my website as frequently as I want. So a.o. `Poker reports` hasn't been updated since July 2014.

No luck in the Satellite for the Dutch Open today. I ended 15th, and there were only 8 tickets. I will try again next week.
Saturday I will play Day 1B in Venlo of the main event. Time for some run-good again.

I won the satellite and played day 1 of the main event of the MCOP. It was a rollercoaster which ended when I ran into AK with my AQ.

On the 25th I played in HC Breda "steal the button". It was fun while it lasted which was 1,5 hours. :-) Next poker stop is in November when I will play the satellite for the main event of the MCOP.
I've start working on my game app again. I have some rough ideas about what it should be but for now I'm working on the framework, and trying out some ideas. It will take some more months before I can post screenshots. ;-)

Back from Valkenburg. My first WPT adventure ended quite early. Nothing special. The highroller went much better. Within an hour I doubled from 50 to 100k, which I kept during a large part of the day. A stack between 80 and 120k. When we reached the last 40 players or so I overplayed (in hindsight) my hand, and lost my remaining stack.
During the 4 days in Valkenburg I also played some cash (broken even), and I did some live commentary with Mark Roovers from the Pokercity crew. Something I really enjoy.
Today we drove home which means back to business, or in my case, back to working on a new app (game). :-) Life is rough ;-)

I will play day 1B of the WPT in Valkenburg. I'm really looking forward to this as it's the first official non-Holland Casino tournament in the Netherlands. I hope to report soon about a victory. ;-)

Best result was the closing event of 220 where I ended 23/130. In the main event the money went all-in on the flop 9TJ. I had AJ and my opponent had 89. Despite being a 2:1 favorite the river was a 7 and that was it. Next stop is the WPT Valkenburg in about 2 weeks. I'm really looking forward to that. :-)

I couldn't do anything in Rotterdam. In the 650 I ran into aces twice and I was out of the main event before the dinnerbreak. I'm not sure if I will play Scheveningen in 2 weeks, but it's certain that I will play the WPT in Valkenburg in early October. The main event and the high roller. I'm looking forward to the first WPT on Dutch soil. :-)

I got one bounty but lost with AQ from A5, got crippled, and had the push AT which ran into AQ. After that I flopped a straight but lost against a rivered higher straight. :-( On Day 1A of the 330 all went well until the very last hand when I ran into AA with top pair and a flush draw. Day 1B lasted until 10 minutes before the day ended when at first my AK couldn't win from AQ, and my AQ ran into AK. :-( again. Still, I had fun (really), and I'll be back! (in Venlo).

Next poker stop is HC Leeuwarden. On July 3rd the 220 bounty, and on the 4th of July Day 1A of the Main Event. The latter is a 3 day event with the final table on July 7th.

I played Day 1B on May 1st of the Main Event in Enschede but it only lasted 2 hours. Everything went wrong and I finally went pre-flop all-in with QQ against AK, and a A appeared on the turn. So let's just say that is was not my day. ;-)

I played the 440 bounty in HC Rotterdam but with no result. Got no hands, bluffs didn't work, and then it's hard work, or you need luck. I started with 10k, went down to 2500, doubled up twice to startstack, but lost it pretty quick after that. The 770 and 550 went just as bad, as did the cash tables. So let's forget Rotterdam a.s.a.p. and hope that Venlo, next month, brings some success again.

Happy 2014 everybody! :-D
I ended 43 in the Unibet Player of the Year, and 33 in the Dutch Open. Both are my best results ever but I want to do much better this year. Next up is HC Utrecht. I still have a small chance for the ranking final (2 more evenings to go), and after that it's the USOP. I want to play a lot of events there.

I played the 770 tournament in HC Valkenburg. I doubled early with 45 on a flop A23, but then I lost with AA against TT. The cash was ok.

I reached day 2 of the Dutch Open and finally ended as #33. My exit hand was quads against a straight flush! Here are the details. For now I like to say that I was very happy with the way I played. It's a real shame that I lost this hand but that's the way poker is.

I played several events during the Amsterdam MCOP, but with no result whatsoever. I never lost so much AA and KK, and when you also loose almost all flips, then it's over soon. All in all it was an interesting but expensive week. ;-)
Next stop is HC Venlo. I will play all 4 events there, and hopefully with more result than Amsterdam. Last time I finished first in the 330 event, so lets try to make it a back to back!

Early exit in the 220 event. Lost 80% of stack with set over set on flop, so quick exit after that. In the 330 I ended 12th. So a deep run but just outside the money. But, my wife ended 2nd! An excellent result and her best cash result so far. :-) In the main event I ended 10th, which made this trip well worthwhile.

I got pretty far in the €660 tournament in Rotterdam. Ended as chipleader on the first day, and finally ended 42 on the second day, 3 places from the money. On Pokercity.nl is the live report of Day 1B, Day 2+3, and the Recap of Day 1B.

Didn't make it to the ranking table at Utrecht. I ended 13th or something. Oh well, last week a new ranking started, and the start was decent. I ended 9th.
The next upcoming 'big' tournament is Rotterdam. On August 27th they have a 3-day, deepstack tournament of €660. You get 25k of chips, and you can even re-entry should you loose these. I'll keep you posted.

Wow, just won the €330fo in HC Venlo. :-) I didn't have a big stack all day but with solid play and patience (not really my merit), I managed to get into the money, the final table, and ultimately win it. I'm very happy with it as this is my first official #1. Something I wanted for a long time. And beside the money I also won a ticket for the Dutch Open in December.

I won one bounty in HC Groningen, but was eventually eliminated with AQ against A8, and A6 against 33, both pfai. And as I was ill my wife played the Leeuwarden event and became 13th of 39. At this moment I have no other plans for playing other than the Monday Night in HC Utrecht.

I'm still playing in HC Utrecht every Monday. They have a ranking and currently I'm in the top 10. So let's hope I can play in the final on August 4.
Next week I want to play in Leeuwarden and Groningen. There are 2 combined events of €330 and €220. Besides the normal price money you can also win a ticket for the Dutch Open. Wish me luck...

Last weekend I played the Main Event in HC Venlo. I made a great bluff, at least that's what I thought at the time, and got called by the hand I tried to represent. :-O A few weeks earlier I played in HC Rotterdam and got pretty deep. I ended 20th.
So for now it's back to work. The only poker I frequently play is on Monday night in HC Utrecht. That's the € 50 rebuy. So far with little success, although I did win it once.
Coming events I plan to play are in HC Enschede. I haven't decided which games yet, and HC Valkenburg where I want to play all 4 events.

I played 3 days of poker in Utrecht. None of them with any success. The deepest I got was in the 1080fo where I ended 32nd. That day all went pretty well but I lost a crucial hand with against . on flop and on turn. Luckely the cash games went well so at the end I broke even.
So for now it's back to working on my app.

I've started to work on an app. It's a game intended for iPhone, iPad and such. The first weeks I spent to learn the new language. It wasn't easy but it was fun to be a programmer again. Something I always loved to do.
It's a work in progress meaning that there's a general game concept but with still plenty of room to add things. I hope to have the game in the app store in 3-6 months, and I`lll keep you posted here.
I haven`t played poker much because of the app, but I intend to play some events at the Utrecht series of poker (previously Dom Classics). I`ve bought a ticket for the satelite to the 2k main event. Haven`t decided what to play more yet.
